As Muslims faithful complete 30days fasting, a member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu representing Eti-Osa constituency 02 has urged them to follow the tenets of Islam as stated in the Quran and also maintain proper hygiene.
Yishawu, who is the Chairman House Committee on Budget and Economic Planning while felicitating with Muslims most especially in his constituency, emphasised the need to practice social distancing and observe good hygiene.
Yishawu explained the need to take precautions as Muslims celebrate end of fasting, saying using of face masks and regular hands washing should not be thrown away, saying it is not yet over.
“I want to appeal to us all to follow strictly the guidelines laid down by the government as we celebrate and go about our businesses. The Covid-19 is still here with us, we can only curb it by our obedience to instructions.
“Once again, I want to wish you Eid Al-Fitr 1441AH. May your prayers be heard and may Allah shower His blessings on you all, Amin”, he said.
