About 3,000 constituents of Eti-Osa constituency two are set to benefit from the eighth edition of free dental healthcare organized by Engr. Gbolahan Yishawu, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The programme, which offers free extraction, scaling, polishing, surgical and denture services, will run from May 6 to May 11, 2024 at his Constituency office.
Speaking with newsmen on Tuesday, Engr. Yishawu explained that the initiative aims to improve the health of his constituents. He emphasized the importance of good health and prosperity for the community, and expressed his commitment to supporting the government at both the federal and State levels.
Engr. Yishawu further stated that over 15,000 beneficiaries have already benefited from this free healthcare programme in previous years. He pledged to continue supporting his constituents in the areas of health, education, and skill acquisition to create job opportunities.
The free dental healthcare programme is open to all constituents who can prove their residency. Engr. Yishawu emphasized the significance of oral health, noting that children even accompany their parents to avail themselves of the dental services.
In addition to the free dental healthcare programme, Engr. Yishawu mentioned that his constituency is also conducting ICT training simultaneously to generate employment opportunities for the youth and interested individuals.
He highlighted the importance of supporting government initiatives and announced the existence of ICT centers across the constituency.
Beneficiaries of the programme expressed their gratitude towards Engr. Yishawu for providing them with the opportunity to receive dental treatment at no cost.
They praised his track record of helping the widows and those in need, and assured their full support for his initiatives in Ikoyi Obalende and its environs.
Dr. David Adeigbe, the dentist overseeing the dental healthcare programme, commended the good oral care practices of the constituents, as he observed fewer extraction cases than expected. He stressed the importance of regular dental check-ups and encouraged individuals to visit government hospitals for dental examinations twice a year. Dr. Adeigbe also explained the comprehensive range of services provided during the program, including consultation, oral education, treatment, and preventive procedures such as scaling and polishing.
Engr. Yishawu concluded by emphasizing his commitment to supporting government initiatives and improving the lives of his constituents.
He mentioned the ongoing ICT training and the existence of ICT centers in the constituency, further highlighting his efforts towards job creation and community development.
