For years, Engr. Gbolahan Olusegun Yishawu, the lawmaker representing Eti-Osa Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has consistently demonstrated that effective representation means creating sustainable economic pathways.
In continuation of this impactful legacy, the Gbolahan Olusegun Yishawu Foundation is set to resume the highly anticipated 6th edition of its Women’s Vocational Training Program on Monday, June 8, 2026. This specialised initiative is designed to transform women in the constituency into self-reliant entrepreneurs and vibrant contributors to the economy.
The program offers comprehensive, hands-on courses in highly lucrative vocational fields. Interested participants can enrol to learn catering, hairdressing, knitting, tie-and-dye, fashion design, and soap making.
This is a cost-free opportunity for women across Eti-Osa Constituency II to acquire valuable skills, achieve financial independence, and build sustainable businesses. Registration is now officially open, and all interested women residing within Eti-Osa Constituency II are warmly invited to apply and secure their spots.

The GOYF Women’s Vocational Training Program is in direct partnership with the Lagos State Vocational Education Board and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, guaranteeing that every participant receives standardised, high-quality training.
The initiative boasts a stellar track record, having already trained more than 500 women and empowered up to 100 women in the constituency. One of the most significant benefits of this program is its deliberate focus on post-graduation support.
The foundation actively empowers outstanding, top-performing graduates with critical startup equipment and tools to launch their businesses immediately. In past cohorts, multiple graduates have walked away with the tools of trade needed to establish their businesses without the burden of initial capital expenses.
Furthermore, becoming a beneficiary of this program integrates participants into a broader supportive economic ecosystem. Graduates are actively guided to leverage major Federal Government initiatives and economic reforms championed under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, such as training by the National Directorate of Employment, certification under the National Skills Qualification Framework, and entrepreneurship backing through the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).
These pathways open doors to vital business advisory services, financial grants, and microcredit schemes through institutions such as the Bank of Industry and NIRSAL Microfinance Bank.
