About GOY


Hon. (Engr) Gbolahan Olusegun Yishawu, a full-blooded Lagosian, was born at Lagos Island, Lagos State, to the late Alhaji Modiyu Liadi Yishawu (First Alhaji of Lagos) and late Alhaja N. A. Yishawu (Nee NuruOniwo) both Lagos indigenes. He completed his primary education at A.D.R.A.O International School, Victoria Island, Lagos.

He attended Government College Lagos, Eric Moore, and completed his O'levels and A 'levels at Greylands International College, Bembridge, Isle of Wright, United Kingdom in 1985. The same year, he was admitted to study Engineering at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in 1990.


Actively involved in politics for well over 20 years.


Built a career for himself in the ICT industry for five years.

A Legislator


Yishawu was elected to represent Eti-Osa Constituency 02 in the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2011.

He has brought to bear on his impressive term in the Assembly his rich and variegated experience in the private sector and years of direct engagement with people at the grassroots to impact on the legislative process.
